Job summary

MacLean-Fogg is seeking a Cold Forming Operator Trainee to operate assigned mechanical equipment in a manufacturing setting at our Farmington Hills facility. The role is full-time, hourly non-exempt, with day and night shifts available and a starting pay of $22.00 per hour plus a $1.25 per hour shift premium for the 3rd shift.

You will run equipment, ensure quality, troubleshoot, read blueprints when applicable, and complete all required documentation while upholding 5S and safety policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 1–3 years of experience preferred.
• Perform work under minimal supervision.
• Handle moderately complex issues and refer complex problems to higher staff.

Job Summary

The Cold Forming Operator Trainee operates assigned mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment.

• Position Type: Full time, Hourly Non-Exempt

• Work Location: 23400 Haggerty Rd, Farmington Hills, MI 48335

• Schedule: Multiple shifts available – 1st shift, Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM; 3rd shift, Monday – Friday, 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

• Pay: $22.00/hour

• Other Compensation: $1.25/hour shift premium for 3rd shift

What You'll Do as a Cold Forming Operator Trainee

• Run assigned mechanical equipment

• Ensure that items produced pass quality control requirements

• Perform moderately advanced troubleshooting of equipment and perform adjustments

• Read and interpret blue prints if applicable

• Use moderately advanced measuring instruments

• Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately

• Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)

• Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures

• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications (Required)

• Education: High School Diploma

• Experience: Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience
