Job summary

MacLean-Fogg is seeking a Cold Forming Operator Trainee in Farmington Hills, MI to operate assigned mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment. The role is full-time, hourly non-exempt, with a base pay of $22.00 per hour and a $1.25 per hour shift premium for the 3rd shift.

Schedules include 1st shift 7:00 AM–3:00 PM and 3rd shift 11:00 PM–7:00 AM, with opportunities to work across multiple shifts and locations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 1–3 years manufacturing experience.
• Able to perform under minimal supervision.
• Read blueprints and use measurement tools.

Responsibilities

• Operate assigned mechanical equipment in a manufacturing setting.
• Ensure items produced pass quality control requirements.
• Troubleshoot equipment and perform adjustments as needed.
• Read and interpret blueprints if applicable.
• Use measuring instruments.
• Complete all required documentation accurately and on time.
• Maintain 5S standards and clean work area.

What You’ll Do as a Cold Forming Operator Trainee

• Run assigned mechanical equipment
• Ensure that items produced pass quality control requirements
• Perform moderately advanced troubleshooting of equipment and perform adjustments
• Read and interpret blue prints if applicable
• Use moderately advanced measuring instruments
• Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately
• Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
• Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned
