We are looking for 2nd and 3rd shift Cold Former Operators to join our team. This experienced machinist works in conjunction with other members in the main valve housing department to ensure production schedules and quality standards are met with minimal downtime through machining parts needed to meet customer needs and demands. This position requires strong mechanical knowledge. A detail-oriented, self-motivated problem solver with a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities
- Perform all duties safely

- Set up, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, repair, and operate multi-spindle screw machines
- Work independently on specific or cross-functional tasks depending on the equipment
- Interpret drawings and machine parts to specifications, maintaining tight tolerances
- Conduct in-process checks to ensure efficiency and quality before approving production
- Inspect finished products for completeness and conformance to quality standards
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and suggest solutions
- Follow plant safety rules and company policies
- Participate in Lean transformation and safety initiatives
- Assist colleagues as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Complete paperwork accurately and promptly
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or managers

Desired Experience
- Minimum 5 years of cold forming experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions, and operate related tools
- Knowledge of relay/ladder logic
- High mechanical aptitude and intermediate knowledge of cold forming processes
- Basic machine repair skills
- Ability to lift over 50 lbs
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain it
- Proficiency with micrometers, dial calipers, height gauges, and other inspection tools
- Ability to maintain tolerances and finishes according to specifications
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills
- Competence in measurement, documentation, and work execution
