Job summary

JBS USA is seeking an Hourly Material Handling worker at our Elkhart, IN site. This role supports shipping/receiving, operates heavy equipment, and requires lifting up to 50 pounds with safety and GMP adherence.

Ideal candidates are flexible for Day/Night shifts, can work overtime, and maintain clean, safe work areas while coordinating with team members and vendors. Training on food safety is provided.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly.
• Willing to work overtime, days and nights.
• Able to stand for 8-10 hours and work 6 days a week.
• Comfortable in coolers and freezing temperatures.
• Adhere to food safety and GMP trainings.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the effective and timely completion of all shipping and receiving functions
• Ensures all shipping and receiving functions are conducted in accordance with established policies and procedures
• Operate heavy equipment
• Load and unload trailers
• Establish and maintain good communication with coworkers and vendors
• Completes and maintains shipping related paperwork accurately
• Complete all shipping and receiving documentation per policies
• Use proper personal protective equipment
• Work hands-on at safe speeds and lift up to 50 pounds
• Keep work areas clean and follow food safety protocols
• Inspect inbound and outbound and/or packaging
• Stay aware of surroundings and report hazards
• Other duties as assigned
