Job summary

Prime Meats is seeking a warehouse/production associate to support cold-environment operations across our production and logistics workflow. You will handle raw materials, verify codes and weights, and ensure accurate inventory while maintaining safety and sanitation standards.

Ideal candidates will lift up to 80 lbs, stand for long periods, and multitask in a fast-paced environment. We offer paid training, benefits, and opportunities across multiple functions as we grow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred (not always required).
• Ability to work in cold environments (coolers/freezers, 28–40°F or below).
• Basic math skills for counting, weighing, and verifying quantities.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
• Ability to stand for vast majority of the time while performing tasks.
• Ability to multitask and problem-solve in a fast-paced temp-controlled environment.
• Able to work independently.
• Receive and communicate clearly with supporting teams.

Responsibilities

• Pull raw materials from freezers/coolers based on daily production orders and requests.
• Verify product codes, lot numbers, weights, and quantities against work orders for accuracy.
• Follow FIFO or FEFO inventory rotation practices.
• Transport raw materials to designated production areas using buggies, pallet jacks, forklifts, or hand trucks.
• Inspect product for damage, spoilage, or quality issues and report discrepancies to supervisor.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and assist with cycle counts as needed.
• Keep staging areas, coolers, and freezers clean, organized, and obstruction-free.
• Adhere to temperature control protocols and regulatory requirements (HACCP, GMP, USDA/FDA).
• Wear PPE including cold-weather gear, gloves, hairnets, and safety footwear.
• Communicate with production supervisors regarding material shortages or scheduling issues.
• Perform other warehouse/production support duties, including sanitation and disposal of waste.
