Job summary

Collectors Universe, Inc. is seeking Raw Coin Authenticators to join our Santa Ana office. You will authenticate and evaluate US Vintage and World coins, focusing on condition standards and processing efficiency. The role requires attention to detail, research skills, and the ability to work in a collaborative, high-paced team.

The position is onsite 5 days a week with a 6:00am-2:30pm shift. Hourly range is $30-$35, and medical, dental, and vision benefits are available to full-time staff.

Qualifications

• First-hand knowledge of numismatics.
• Familiarity with counterfeiting methods across coin categories.
• Understanding of the coin grading system and standards.
• Strong research skills with attention to defects and misalignments.
• Ability to work accurately on long assignments in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Become an expert in coin condition standards.
• Become an expert in processing standards.
• Authenticate and evaluate coin condition quickly without losing accuracy.
• Maintain authentication production goals.
• Improve knowledge through personal research and experience.
• Stay updated on industry developments and counterfeits.
• Share knowledge to improve the Authentication team.
• Assist the PCGS Grading team when needed.
