Position: Coiling Operator

The coiling operator is part of our Coil Spring manufacturing process, primarily responsible for operating the coiling machine. This includes changing coils, tooling, dropping wire, gauging parts consistently, and adjusting the coiling program as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate the coiling machine and related equipment
• Use of a crane and forklift
• Perform self-sufficient work and mechanical decision-making
• Utilize technology such as SAP and Excel
• Work off-shift as required
• Stand for extended periods
• Use tools like wrenches, gauges, and pencil grinders

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and understand job documentation
• Physical ability to lift and move products
• Training for forklift operation
• Ability to handle multiple tasks with attention to detail
• Good communication skills
• Mathematical skills, including conversions between units
• Ability to read and use measuring devices to .1mm
• Understanding of machine computer functions, CNC, PLC controls, and SPC documentation
• Experience with machine changeovers and adjustments during production
