Job summary

Atlas Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, in Kansas City, MO, is seeking a Coil Yard Attendant to pick, pack, stage, and load steel tube and pipe while following safety procedures.

The role requires basic math, warehouse experience, and the ability to safely operate forklifts, order pickers, reach trucks, and pallet jacks.

You will process orders for on-time delivery, inspect incoming materials, replenish stock, and maintain accurate inventory in a fast-paced industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Technical School training preferred.
• 2+ years of warehouse experience preferred.
• Basic math skills for accurate order processing.
• Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail for order accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Champion and enforce safe work practices in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare materials, products, and equipment for distribution and shipment.
• Process and fulfill orders for customers and internal teams to support on-time delivery.
• Pick, pack, and stage orders while verifying accuracy using scanning tools.
• Load shipments onto flatbed trucks or LTL carriers.
• Receive, inspect, and process incoming materials while reporting any damages.
• Replenish warehouse stock and rotate inventory using a reach truck or forklift.
• Operate forklifts, order pickers, reach trucks, and walkie rider pallet jacks to move materials efficiently.
• Standardize and optimize shipping and receiving procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support warehouse operations.
• Maintain regular, full-time onsite attendance.
