Job summary

Woodward, Inc. is seeking a Coil Winder to join our manufacturing team on the 1st shift (6:00am-2:30pm CST). You will operate basic machines, perform deburring, and assist with light assembly in an industrial setting under supervision.

You will follow work instructions, verify part details, and document progress in MRP while maintaining safety standards and complying with ITAR/EAR regulations. Woodward offers a comprehensive Total Reward package including a cash bonus opportunity, 401(k) match

Responsibilities

• Communicates information about project status and updates; reviews item status in MRP.
• Documents non-conformance and dispositions using non-conformance forms.
• Cleans and maintains measuring instruments and test equipment; inspects parts per work instructions.
• Follows all safety rules and wears required gear.
• Completes and reviews product paperwork with accurate data entry.
• Verifies calibration of equipment and expiration dates; records data as required.
• Performs curing of parts and inspects according to visual standards; may apply hot dip or touch-up methods.

The Coil Winder reports to the manufacturing supervisor and is responsible for operating basic machines and deburring, or light assembly, in an industrial setting. The position works under close supervision, limited decision-making and limited contact with external suppliers or customers.

What You Will Be Doing

Communicates information to others about project status, updates, specific instructions, etc. and reviews item status in MRP and ensures item is logged/closed out based on its current status. Documents non-conformance and dispositions using non-conformance forms. Cleans and maintains measuring instruments and test equipment; treats and inspects/tests parts (e.g., routed and deburring operations) per applicable work instructions. Follows all departmental safety rules and regulations and puts on all appropriate safety gear, and clothing/protection required by work activities. Completes and reviews product paperwork, verifying all paperwork is present and filled out appropriately and complete computer entries accurately and in a timely manner. Verify the calibration of equipment and expiration dates. Measure specific dimensions according to the work instruction. Record applicable data as required. Perform curing process of parts and inspect according to visual requirements. May require applying hot dip method or touch up method of stacks and return paths.

What We Are Looking For

High school diploma or equivalent required No related work experience required. The ability to see details (e.g., letters, numbers, codes, color, symbols, marks, labels, signs) clearly to accomplish work tasks in a safe and efficient manner. May be required to pass Near Vision and/or Color Vision examinations. Moderate physical activity requiring agility and dexterity, including walking, standing, or bending; and lifting or moving objects. Work is performed in area with moderate risk or discomfort that may require special safety precautions, such as wearing protective clothing or gear.
