Job summary

Woodward is seeking an Assembly and Test Associate 1 to assemble and test products following documented procedures and inspects to ensure quality. The role emphasizes safety, organization, and adherence to lean practices.

You will use basic computer tools and collaborate with the team to meet daily production targets while maintaining a clean workstation and following standard work. High school diploma or GED and 1+ years of mechanical aptitude are preferred. ITAR/EAR rules apply.

Responsibilities

Salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

Estimated hourly base pay: Starting Pay: $20.50 Hours: 1st Shift, Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM Training Hours: 7:30 AM- 3:30 PM (1st Week Only)

This role involves assembling and testing products according to documented procedures, ensuring quality through inspections, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Safety and adherence to protocols are prioritized.

What You Will Be Doing:
  • Assemble Product: Follows documented procedures to accurately and efficiently assemble product components using specified tools and equipment.
  • Test Product: Follows documented procedures to accurately and efficiently test product using specified tools and equipment,
  • Quality: Conducts inspections and tests to verify the accuracy and functionality of products and records and maintains data per operating standards.
  • Organization & Cleanliness: Adheres to 5S principles by keeping workstations clean, organized, and free of unnecessary items. Follows established guidelines to ensure tools, materials, and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
  • Safety Mindset: Adheres to all established safety protocols, procedures, and regulatory requirements; maintains mindfulness of self and surrounding work area to promote a safe working environment.

  • Mechanical Aptitude: Demonstrates basic understanding of mechanical systems and components. Uses hand tools and basic equipment safely and effectively. Can assemble and test products and may perform basic setups of equipment.

Successful candidates typically have:
  • High School Diploma, or GED Equivalent 1+ years of Mechanical Aptitude
