Job summary

Humphrey Products in Kalamazoo, MI seeks a detail-oriented Coil Winder to join our production team. You will wind coils using manual or automated equipment, solder wires and boards, and perform testing to meet strict quality standards.

The role supports a stable, climate-controlled environment and a people-centric culture. You will read and follow work instructions, maintain equipment, and participate in daily cleanup.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to read work instructions.
• Good dexterity and fine motor skills for handling small components and tools.
• Understanding of basic quality control principles.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate winding machinery to wind wire around bobbins.
• Solder wires and circuit boards to coils.
• Perform product testing and ensure quality standards.
• Assemble and build coils, including molding steps.
• Maintain daily cleanup and organize work area.
• Stand or sit for extended periods; lift up to 50 lbs.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Coil Winder to join our production team. This role is responsible for manufacturing coils while following specifications, work instructions, while upholding quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities

• Coil Winder sets up and operates manual or automated machinery to wind wire around bobbins
• Soldering of wires and circuit boards to coils
• Product testing
• Building of coils
• Molding of coils
• Daily Cleanup duties
• Frequent use of hands and fingers, lifting up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time

Basic Qualifications

• Previous Manufacturing / Assembly experience is a plus
• Good Dexterity and fine motor skills for handling of hand tools, fine wire, and small components
• Attention to detail, with ability to read and follow work instructions
• Understanding of quality control principles

Education

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
