Job summary

Norfolk-Iron- in New Century, KS, is seeking a motivated production worker to read orders daily and assemble wooden skids. You will operate a radial saw, nail gun, forklift, and overhead crane while packaging skids for shipping, and assist with loading trucks.

Safety and quality are priorities: you’ll wear PPE, participate in safety training, and help move materials between areas. This role offers PTO, benefits, potential for advancement, and a strong team environment.

Shifts - M-F 6:00am - 2:30pm & M-F 11:00am - 7:30pm

Here are some things you'll be doing:

• Reads/understands orders on a daily basis
• Builds wooden skids
• Safely operates radial saw and nail gun
• Builds and packages skids of flat rolled metal for shipping
• Operates forklift, man lift, and overhead crane according to procedure
• Assists in loading trucks
• Utilizes systems to complete paperwork verifying correct shipping
• Moves material to and from designated areas
• Participates in company training on Safety, Hazard Communication, blood borne pathogens, and accident reporting, among others
• Wears PPE equipment-steal toe boots, safety glasses, gloves and arm guards
• Assists other employees as needed
• Performs other duties
