Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience operating sheet metal fabrication equipment required.
  • Ability to work in an unconditioned shop environment and lift/carry up to 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Calibrate and operate a Sheet Metal Coil Line based on blueprints.
  • Load, unload, move, and handle materials safely.
  • Complete preventative maintenance on shop equipment.

Job description

We are looking for a Sheet Metal Coil Line Operator to join our Fabrication Shop team.

  • Calibrate and operate a Sheet Metal Coil Line.
  • Adjust computer settings to ensure precise cuts, bends, and dimensions based on blueprints and drawings.
  • Load, unload, move, and handle materials.
  • Operate a forklift the move supplies around the shop.
  • Properly finish and seal duct.
  • Fabrication using plasma cutter, shears, and presses.
  • Complete preventative maintenance on shop equipment.
  • Learn other fabrication processes.

Experience or Certification needed:

  • 2+ years operating Sheet Metal fabrication equipment is required.

You need to be able to:

  • Keep it a Drug-free Workplace.
  • Be punctual and reliable.
  • Work as a team.
  • Able to work overtime as needed.
  • Accurately use a tape measure.
  • Work in an unconditioned shop environment.
  • Stand and walk throughout the workday, and lift/carry up to 60 lbs.
  • Work reaching above shoulders, crawling, squatting, kneeling, bending.
  • Exercise fine motor control, with good vision and excellent hand-eye coordination.
