Job summary

SMS group USA is seeking a Forge Induction Coil Fabricator to learn heat induction forge coil repair and related tasks in our Shelby Township facility. You will work with induction heating, brazing, welding, and precision measurement tools.

The right candidate is self-directed, able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long shifts, and willing to overtime including Saturdays. Training and a strong safety mindset are required.

Responsibilities

• Learn heat induction forge coil repair and related tasks.
• Read and follow instructions from CAD drawings.
• Work with brazing, welding, soldering, and precision measuring tools.
• Break down coils and learn coil coating, painting, nylon dipping.
• Complete paperwork for assigned work tasks and operate forklift equipment.
• Provide support across all operations as directed by supervision.

Summary The Forge Induction Coil Fabricator will learn heat induction forge coil repair using the following skills:

• Induction heating experience a plus
• Knowledge of brazing, welding, and soldering helpful.
• Experience with precision measuring equipment, calipers.
• Experience with reading and following instructions from CAD drawings.
• Knowledge or experience with manufacturing, machinist tools, measuring instruments.
• Able to breakdown coils, along with learning coil coating process, painting and nylon dipping.
• Fill out paperwork associated with assigned work tasks.
• Ability to use Hi-lo/forklifts.
• Performs other duties, provides support and coverage on all operations as requested by supervisor.
