Job summary

Cannon Automotive Solutions, a division of Cleveland Cliffs Tooling and Stamping, seeks a Coil Operator for our Bowling Green, Kentucky stamping facility. The role centers on moving materials throughout the plant and maintaining safe, efficient operations in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading coil trucks and dies, stocking the Coil Bay, and participating in Lean continuous improvement projects.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment performing repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to find information, document relevant information and knowledge of computers.
  • Preferred experience in stamping environment.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload coil trucks.
  • Receive and tag coil and forward to Coil Bay.
  • Load and unload dies as required.
  • Supply Coil Bay with materials needed.
  • Remove finished goods from specified areas.
  • Stack and arrange products safely and orderly.

Location: Bowling Green, KY

Cannon Automotive Solutions, a division of Cleveland Cliffs Tooling and Stamping has an immediate opportunity for a Coil Operator in our Bowling Green, Kentucky Stamping Facility. The Coil Operator is responsible for moving materials throughout the facility. The ideal candidate will have prior Coil experience, be self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Summary of Responsibilities:
  • Load and unload coil trucks
  • Receive and tag coil when necessary and forward to appropriate location in Coil Bay
  • Load and unload dies as required
  • Supply Coil Bay with materials neede
  • Remove finished goods from each specified area
  • Stack and arrange product in safe, orderly manner within the warehouse
  • Perform daily safety checks on forklift and maintain proper operation
  • Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner
  • Perform housekeeping duties
  • Participates in continuous improvement projects (Lean)
  • Responsible to manage the cleanliness and orderliness of the work area and equipment
  • Abide by all Company policies including, but not limited to the following: Health and Safety, Environmental, Quality, Human Resources policies, and the Employee Handbook
Minimum Requirements:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment performing repetitive tasks
  • Ability to find information, document relevant information and knowledge of computers
  • Ability to retain information and communicate effectively
  • Knowledge of and ability to operate a forklift and overhead crane
Preferred Requirements:
  • Previous experience working in a stamping environment
