The Opportunity

CACI is looking for a Cognos Administrator with report development experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing our Cognos environment to ensure seamless data delivery and reporting solutions. This is a remote position in support of the US Marine Corps and infrequent travel to the Quantico, VA area 1-2 times a year.

Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and maintain Cognos environments.
  • Develop and manage reports, dashboards, and data models within Cognos.
  • Ensure data integrity and security within the Cognos framework.
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to understand reporting requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting of Cognos applications.
  • Create and maintain documentation for Cognos processes and procedures.
  • Monitor system performance and implement improvements as needed.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on Cognos tools and features.
  • Assist with other project-related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Must possess and maintain an active DoD Secret level clearance.
  • BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, or related degree and a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in administering Cognos environments; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Experience coordinating performing activities identified in the Responsibilities section.
  • Proven experience with Cognos Analytics, TM1, or similar BI tools.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server).
  • Experience with data modeling and report design.
  • Familiarity with ETL processes and tools (e.g., Informatica, SSIS).
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts.
  • Excellent analytical, facilitation and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience using tools that support software development and release management activities such as Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, etc.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Desired:

  • Experience working with USMC Total Force Structure Management System (TFSMS).
  • Experience working with the USMC in an IT development or operational capacity.
  • Experience with competing reporting solutions (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) is a plus.
  • Certified IBM Certified Specialist – Cognos Analytics Author
  • Certified IBM Certified Administrator – Cognos Analytics

The proposed salary range for this position is: $63,300-$129,700
