Job summary

Hope College’s Department of Psychology invites applications for an open-rank, tenure-track psychology faculty position beginning Fall 2027. Primary teaching will be in cognitive psychology; additional courses may include Introduction to Psychology, Introduction to Neuroscience, Research Methods, or seminars that integrate diversity and equity.

Qualifications

• PhD in psychology or a related field by Fall 2027.
• Commitment to Hope College's liberal arts mission and inclusive excellence.
• Experience mentoring ethnically and underrepresented students.

Responsibilities

• Teach cognitive psychology and related courses; typical load is three courses per semester.
• Develop and mentor undergraduate research with student collaborators.
• Advance inclusive excellence and contribute to the liberal arts mission.
