Job summary

Jefferson University Physicians in Philadelphia seeks a Cognitive Neurologist to join its established Cognitive Disorders program. You will evaluate and manage patients with cognitive impairment and neurodegenerative diseases, and collaborate across multiple specialties within Jefferson's academic neuroscience network.

The role includes clinical care, medical education, research, and program development, with opportunities in clinical trials and teaching across residents and students.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent medical degree.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Neurology residency or equivalent.
• Board certification or board eligibility in Neurology.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in Pennsylvania.
• Clinical interest in cognitive neurology and neurodegenerative diseases.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients with cognitive impairment, memory disorders, and neurodegenerative conditions.
• Diagnose and treat patients with Alzheimer's disease, mild cognitive impairment, Lewy body dementia, and related disorders.
• Provide longitudinal management and counseling for patients and families.
• Collaborate with neuropsychology, neuroradiology, psychiatry, geriatrics, primary care, and other specialists.
• Participate in multidisciplinary cognitive disorders care.
• Participate in clinical research and clinical trials as applicable.
• Teach medical students, residents, fellows, and other learners.
• Participate in departmental conferences and educational activities.
• Contribute to the continued development of Jefferson's Cognitive Disorders program.
• Support quality improvement and other departmental initiatives.
