Job description

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Position: Assistant Professor, non-tenure clinician educator track in the Department of Neurology, Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania.

We seek candidates with expertise in diagnosis and management of adult cognitive conditions, particularly Alzheimer’s Disease, and a Fellowship in Cognitive and Behavioral Neurology. Applicants must hold an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. and be board certified in Neurology.

Responsibilities

• Teaching: staffing patients in the neurology resident clinic every other month; collaborating with Cognitive Neurology Fellows or residents on electives; delivering lectures to medical students, neurology residents, and cognitive neurology fellows; mentoring residents and fellows.
• Clinical: seeing general cognitive neurology patients focusing on Alzheimer’s Disease in collaboration with an advanced practice provider and social worker at Pennsylvania Hospital; participating in clinical research trials and studies in Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias.
• Research / Scholarship: conducting collaborative or independent research on neuroimaging, markers of neurodegenerative disease; developing an independent research program supported by federal and foundation grants.
