The Cognitive Enhancement Advisor provides advanced cognitive performance training, assessment, and program development to enhance mental, emotional, and neurocognitive readiness. The CEA applies evidence‑based psychological, neurocognitive, and psychophysiological methods to improve attention, working memory, emotional regulation, adaptive thinking, stress management, and decision‑making in high‑pressure environments. This role includes designing and delivering individual and group training, advising leadership on cognitive performance strategies, and supporting research and evaluation initiatives.
HOW A COGNITIVE ENHANCEMENT ADVISOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
EDUCATION: Doctoral degree in the field of Psychology, Human Performance, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Cognitive Science, Cognitive Neuroscience, Sport Sciences with a specialization in Sport Psychology, or related degree with performance psychology specialization.
CLEARANCE: Secret or Top-Secret Clearance, or the ability to obtain clearance.
LOCATION: Various OCONUS & CONUS SITES
This is a contingent posting, expected to start in 2027.

The likely salary range for this position is $111,155 – $150,385. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
