• Provide services only as designated on each consumer’s authorized plan of care.
• Educate families and caregivers about brain injury and progress goals.
• Document sessions day of service clearly and concisely.
• Attend weekly conference calls and webinars with supervisors.
• Establish and maintain professional rapport with consumers, co-workers, referral agents and community agencies.
• Promote public relations for the program within agency and community.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Provide care/maintenance for Minds Matter LLC issued iPad and ensure HIPAA confidentiality.
• Possibly serve as consumer team lead and update goal plans during team meetings.

BASIC FUNCTION:To work with individuals who have experienced a traumatic brain injury as a Cognitive Therapist or Behavioral Therapist.Cognitive Therapist works with individuals that have experienced a traumatic brain injury to develop and utilize methods that enhance cognitive functioning. The Cognitive Therapist assists the individual through various methods including guided practice on tasks that reflect particular cognitive functions, development of new skills and strategies for taking in new information, use of memory aids and other assistive devices.Behavioral Therapist works with individuals that have experienced a traumatic brain injury to change in ways that they would like to change. These strategies are used to help increase the quality of life of the individual with TBI in their community. Behavior Therapy emphasizes the individual’s current environment. It focuses on making positive changes in that environment while improving the individual’s self-control using procedures to expand the person’s skills, abilities, and level of independence.SPECIFIC DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for learning and implementing all aspects of Minds Matter LLC philosophical principles.Assists individuals to identify their needs and develop appropriate compensatory strategies to accommodate certain aspects of their brain injury.
