Job summary

University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking a Cogeneration Systems Facility Planner to coordinate mechanical maintenance, outages, and repairs for campus boiler and turbine systems. The role works closely with the Cogeneration Systems team to develop work scopes, schedule outages, and ensure project resources are allocated efficiently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in institutional planning, public administration, engineering, architecture, business administration, economics, industrial technology or related discipline; plus two years of facility/space planning experience.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule mechanical maintenance and repairs for the Cogeneration Systems facilities.
• Coordinate annual and emergency outages; manage outages within complex contracts.
• Work with Maintenance Superintendent and Engineering staff to obtain resources for construction, maintenance and repair of boilers and related systems.
