Job summary

NAES Corporation's Berkeley Cogeneration Plant is seeking an O&M Technician to support safe, reliable operation of gas and steam turbines, HRSG, and auxiliary boilers. The role involves startups, shutdowns, inspections, and minor repairs while following safety procedures and maintaining accurate records.

Working a 4-on/4-off 12-hour rotating shift, you will monitor parameters, document equipment conditions in CMMS, perform preventive maintenance, and assist during outages, with a strong emphasis

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• Experience operating and maintaining gas & steam turbines and cogeneration systems.
• Journeyman-level knowledge of plant operations and mechanical systems.
• Ability to disassemble/repair equipment and interpret technical docs.
• Strong knowledge of LOTO, OSHA, and environmental compliance.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Operate LM2500PJ gas turbine, Terry letdown steam turbine, HRSG, boilers, and supporting plant systems.
• Monitor and record plant parameters and operating data.
• Perform inspections, tests, and preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and perform minor repairs.
• Prepare equipment for service per procedures and safety practices.
• Complete work orders and assist during outages.
• Use CMMS to document equipment conditions and work requests.
• Test and adjust boiler and water-treatment chemistry.
• Maintain operating logs and report abnormalities.
• Support safe operation and duties as assigned by Plant Manager.
