UNC-Chapel Hill seeks a Cogeneration Systems Electrical/Mechanical Engineer to provide technical leadership for electrical cogeneration projects and steam distribution. You will address operational concerns, design modifications, and foster reliability across plant systems.

Responsibilities include developing preventive maintenance programs, reviewing designs, and training staff while coordinating with the Cogeneration Systems team to ensure safe, efficient operations on campus.

• Project Management: Demonstrated experience from planning to implementation with budgeting.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong command of professional engineering concepts and practice.
• Demonstrated ability to train others in area(s) of expertise.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly in writing and speech.

Aufgaben

• Provide technical expertise and oversight for all electrical Cogeneration Systems projects.
• Address plant operational concerns; design and implement major and minor modifications.
• Develop and maintain preventive maintenance programs.
• Review designs; ensure integrity and reliability of systems and equipment.
• Collaborate with Cogeneration Systems Management Team and Engineering Staff.
• Assist training of operations and maintenance personnel on related systems and equipment.
