Job summary

Pechanga Resort Casino is seeking a qualified Cogen Plant Operator to oversee the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of a 5 MW gas turbine system. Responsibilities include monitoring plant readings, calibrations, lubrication, and preventative maintenance to ensure safe, reliable power for the facility.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 4+ years of related experience, and certifications such as EPA 608.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; AA degree or Mechanical PE license preferred.
• At least 4 years of related maintenance/operational experience at a power/industrial plant.
• EPA section 608 certification, type universal, is required.
• Must qualify to obtain and maintain a class A gaming license.
• Valid California Driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate a 5 MW gas turbine plant and associated support systems.
• Perform routine maintenance, calibrations, lubrication, water testing, and filter changes.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and document corrective actions.
• Maintain inventory and ensure training and compliance with safety standards.
• Work with Plant Manager on assignments and maintain attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
