Job summary

Starbucks Coffee Company in Seattle seeks a Coffeehouse Design Manager to shape store environments and brand expression. You will translate strategy into scalable physical experiences for high-profile stores, pop-ups, and in-store encounters.

This hands-on role blends strategy with detail, requires collaboration across teams and external partners, and offers opportunities to push design boundaries within a globally iconic brand.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or Environmental Design or related field.
• 3+ years of professional interior/environmental/retail design experience.
• Portfolio demonstrating concept development and translation to built environments.
• Experience across multiple project phases from concept to implementation.
• Strong proficiency with design tools listed in qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Support and develop coffeehouse environmental design direction translating strategy into scalable experiences.
• Create and evolve global design standards and adaptive strategies for brand consistency.
• Develop designs for high-profile stores, renovations, pop-ups, and in-store experiences from concept to implementation.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants, fabricators, and vendors to align requirements.
• Coordinate design intent, specifications, sourcing, schedules, budgets, documentation, and implementation.
• Produce narratives, drawings, visualizations, material palettes, prototypes and design docs.
