Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Taking client orders and receiving payment.
• Grinding and brewing coffee, providing well‑presented beverages.
• Develop expert knowledge of coffee and maintain consistency and attention to detail.
• Collaborate with all team members.
• Maintaining a clean and sanitized shop environment while following health and safety guidelines.
• Operate point of sale system and contribute to establishment sales.
• Punctual and maintaining consistent attendance.
• Ability to remain calm and efficient during peak business hours.
• Perform additional tasks as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the establishment.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, & Other Characteristics

• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices regarding expiration dates and quality control.
• Ability to work variable hours such as early mornings, evenings, and weekends.

DOT Covered/Safety‑Sensitive Role Requirements

• This position is not subject to federal requirements regarding Department of Transportation “safety‑sensitive” functions.

Necessary Physical Requirements

Individuals will be required to stand for extended periods of time and push or pull heavy equipment/supplies. In addition, squatting, kneeling, sitting, bending, reaching and climbing are also required. May lift or push up to 50 lbs, such as freight, coffee supplies, boxes, etc. Employees must always maintain a constant state of mental alertness. Work Environment

The job is performed in a coffee shop setting with exposure to hot liquids and requires extensive use of coffee and espresso machines. Employees may be exposed to hot water and cleaning chemicals or solvents. Occasional use of computer, keyboard, mouse, and telephone system. The work described herein is primarily in a modern coffee shop setting. Employees must maintain a constant state of situational awareness. Additional Qualifying Factors

As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre‑employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain and maintain the appropriate clearance levels required and must also be able to obtain access to military installations.
