Job description

Coffee and Cold Brew Coffee Production Operator

We are high-volume specialty coffee roasting company that roasts and packages premium coffee beans and brews and cans and kegs premium cold brew coffees in-house. We are seeking a production team member to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be an energetic and team-oriented person with a genuine passion for specialty coffee and/or cold brew coffee. This candidate will be responsible for assisting in the entire coffee production process, from roasting to packaging, and from cold brewing in large batches to canning line and legging line operation, along with shipping & receiving and general warehouse duties. The work environment is fast-paced and multi-faceted, requiring both physical activity and multi-tasking focus, while ensuring speed, accuracy, efficiency and attention to detail in all operations.

Responsibilities:

• Blend and package whole bean and ground coffees
• Grind and brew cold brew coffee in industrial-sized brewing tanks
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the production area
• Follow food safety guidelines and maintain detailed production logs
• Assist in warehouse activities, including shipping and receiving and forklift operation
• Operate packaging equipment, state-of-the-art canning line, and other equipment related to coffee and cold brew coffee production
• Adhere to brewing quality standards and procedures
• Maintaining detailed and accurate production logs

Skills:

• Mechanical knowledge or aptitude for operating production equipment - specific equipment training will be provided including canning line operation and an orientation to coffee roasting
• Familiarity with craft beer production and/or a passion and palate for premium coffee is a plus
• Basic computer aptitude for logging production records and printing production labels
• Knowledge of food safety practices such as HACCP and GMPs - additional training will be provided
• Experience in warehouse operations is beneficial, including forklift operation
• Physical capacity for a fast-paced, high-volume, multi-tasking work environment and lifting or moving up to 50lbs as needed to facilitate workflow

Job Type: Full-time

Pay Rate: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour depending upon experience
