Valley Health System seeks a Coding Educator to oversee coding education programs and training for staff at Kraft Center. The goal is to ensure accurate ICD-10 coding by Coders and to promote best practices in medical record documentation.
The role requires 5 years of coding experience in a medical group setting, with knowledge of CPT/ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, and strong communication skills. CPC/CPMA preferred and EMR experience (Athena/Meditech) is highly desired.
The purpose of the Coding Educator is to manage coding and chart documentation-training programs in order to ensure consistent and accurate ICD-10 coding by Health Information Management Coders. The Coding Trainer/Educator will work with the medical staff, coders and other Valley Medical Group staff on best practices for documentation in the medical record.
Five (5) years of progressive coding experience in a medical group practice setting, with coding/billing experience in multiple medical specialties. Surgical and outpatient procedural coding is required.

Pay Range: $99,424.00 - $124,280.00
