Job summary

The role requires CPC certification, knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT, medical terminology, and strong communication. Candidates should be organized, detail-oriented, and possess a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Certified Professional Coding Designation (CPC) or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding guidelines.
• Medical terminology; anatomy and physiology.
• Knowledge of payor guidelines.
• Demonstrated ability to use a computer with Microsoft Office knowledge.
• Excellent oral/written communication; must be organized and detail-oriented.
• Current and valid driver's license.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees and the public.

Responsibilities

• Assign and review professional coding for ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS for multi-specialty group.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of coding submissions.
• Maintain compliance with payer guidelines and coding policies.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to resolve coding questions.

Job description

The Coding Specialist is responsible for accurate and timely assignment and review of professional coding related to ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS codes for multi-specialty group.
