University of Colorado Medicine (CU Medicine) is seeking a Coding Quality Educator II with a Surgery focus to join the Coding Services department. This remote role supports and leads audits, training, and education for coders, collaborating with leadership on projects to drive coder development and performance.
The ideal candidate will have CPC or AHIMA certification, 3–5 years of surgical coding experience, and proficiency with EMR and practice management software.

We are seeking a motivated Coding Quality Educator II with an emphasis in Surgery experience to join our Coding Services department.
This job can be performed 100% remotely and out of state candidates will be considered.
The Coding Quality Educator II will primarily be responsible for supporting and leading ongoing audit and education to existing coding staff, coordination with leadership for varied projects related to team success and coder development, research of any coding related questions, and the planning and education of newly hired coders. The position is also expected to be able to assist in trending, coding analysis, coder feedback and providing education either individually or developing and presenting a group presentation.
