Job Summary

We are looking for a Revenue Cycle Coding Educator located in Jacksonville or Northeast FL. Reporting to the Business Services Manager (and dotted line to the Director of Revenue Cycle), the role provides education to providers and support staff through interactive sessions, written guides, and protocols, fostering relationships with clinical and clerical teams to address coding and documentation concerns.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and County laws and regulations related to coding and documentation guidelines for CMS.
• Assist in developing training curriculums, handbooks, and resource material.
• Coordinate and facilitate current coding and billing education using a variety of methods, including onsite observation, printed materials, technical reports, PowerPoint presentations, teleconference, and videoconference platforms.
• Coordinate with Millennium University, Business Services Management team, and/or Compliance Department as needed.
• Perform research for coding-related issues that arise.
• Deliver content professionally and customize it to specific audiences.
• Demonstrate technical knowledge through industry-based applications.
• Support multistate go-lives and follow-up education.
• Provide additional support to Management, internal Coding and Billing teams, and other departments as needed.
• Build and maintain open communication channels with clinical and clerical teams regarding medical records structure, content, and code assignment.
• Select key topics or respond to direct requests from Providers or support teams when appropriate.
