Job summary

MatX is building world-class AI hardware software co-design in Mountain View, CA. The role centers on automating design workflows and tuning AI coding agents to optimize our architecture methodology.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across software and hardware domains, shaping documentation, tests, and artifacts while driving product versioning and performance improvements.

Qualifications

• Strong background in automation (LLM-based and otherwise) and DevOps.
• Experience with compilers, IRs, and ISAs.
• Exposure to hardware design and EDA tools is a plus.
• Bazel or similar build system a plus.

What You'll Do Here:

• Automate everything around our chip architecture design methodology
• Guide and tune AI coding agents for specific workflows
• Automate creation of documentation, test coverage reports, visualizations, and design artifacts
• Manage product versioning
• Optimize simulation execution
• Collaborate closely with Architects, MicroArchitects, Software, and Physical Design teams

Compensation

The US base salary for this full-time position is determined based on a variety of factors including role, experience, location, job related skills, and relevant education and training. Career length is only a guideline for compensation.

• Early Career - $120,000 - $275,000 + equity
• Mid Career - $175,000 - $450,000 + equity
• Senior Career - $275,000 - $600,000 + equity
