Job description

Health Information Management (Medical Records)

Full-time

Day shift (Monday-Friday)

8am - 4pm Remote

Pay Range: $35.15- $38.94 per hour, based on experience.

Responsibilities include accurately coding and abstracting outpatient medical records utilizing ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding systems. Assign modifiers when appropriate.

Education/Training: High School Diploma required. Completion of a coding program. Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Experience: Minimum of three years of Acute Care hospital coding experience. Proficiency in Anatomy, Physiology, and Pathophysiology. ICD-10 certification. Knowledge of PPS methodologies for inpatient and outpatient encounters. Good computer skills, including familiarity with Epic/3M coding software. Proficiency in inpatient and outpatient coding guidelines. Must maintain a minimum of 95% coding accuracy. Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Licensure, Registration, or Certification: Maintains CCS credential.
