Methodist Mansfield Medical Center is seeking a skilled Medical Coder to assign accurate CPT/HCPCS, ICD-10 codes and modifiers for outpatient and inpatient encounters. Certification CPC or CCS-P preferred; 2+ years' outpatient coding experience required, with trauma/general surgery/orthopedics/neurosurgery coding preferred.

Bachelor or Associate degree in Health Information Management preferred. You will audit documentation, educate providers on coding, and support compliance initiatives within

Competenze

• Bachelor or Associate degree in Health Information Management preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of outpatient coding experience.
• Trauma, General Surgery, Orthopedics or Neurosurgery coding preferred.
• Must hold CPC or CCS-P certification with relevant experience.

Mansioni

• Assign CPT/HCPCS, ICD-10 codes and modifiers from records for outpatient and inpatient encounters.
• Audit E&M services for coding accuracy against documentation.
• Educate providers and staff on coding issues and compliance.
• Support coding compliance activities and process improvements.

Hours of Work :830-4pmDays Of Week :M-FWork Shift :Job Description :Your Job:Responsible for assignment of accurate CPT/HCPCS, ICD10, and appropriate modifiers from medical record documentation (paper or electronic) for both outpatient and inpatient professional encounters. Assist in auditing E&M services against documentation (paper or electronic) within the medical record.
