Key duties include auditing claims, meeting Level 1 quota (200 charts/day after 90 days) and Level 2 quota (250 claims/day or ~85 complex ASC claims).

Qualifications

  • Active AAPC or AHIMA certification required.
  • 0 years experience acceptable for Level 1 (CPCA).
  • Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) preferred.
  • 2+ years coding experience in ASC/E&M preferred for Level 2.

Responsibilities

  • Audit and verify provider pre-coded claims.

Job description

Our client is seeking a Coder responsible for auditing and verifying provider pre-coded claims. The role demands a keen attention to detail and offers the opportunity for growth and progression. Whether you are an entry-level coder or have some experience, this role is designed to help you advance in your coding career.

Key Responsibilities
  • Audit and verify provider pre-coded claims.
  • Meet a Level 1 quota of 200 charts per day after a 90-day introductory period.
  • Meet a Level 2 quota of 250 claims per day, or approximately 85 claims per day for complex ASC claims.
  • Handle procedures including E/M, trigger point injections, bursa injections, intrathecal pumps, Botox, medial branch blocks, radiofrequency ablations, and epidural steroid injections.
  • Log daily activities into an Excel tracking spreadsheet.
Qualifications
  • Active AAPC or AHIMA certification (CPC, CPCA, or CCS).
  • 0 years experience is acceptable for Level 1 (CPCA).
  • Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) is preferred.
  • 2+ years coding experience in ASC/E&M is preferred for Level 2 placement.
Skills
  • Proven ability to manage a high volume of coding tasks.
  • Strong analytical and attention to detail skills.
Additional Requirements
  • Flexible start window between 7:30 AM - 9:30 AM with an 8-hour shift plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch.
  • 1 remote day per week privilege after full-time conversion, based on performance.
