Code Ninjas (Tampa-Carrollwood) is seeking a dynamic and energetic Code Ninjas Sensei to join our team in Marlton, Maryland. The Sensei is key in providing a fun and safe learning environment for kids aged 5-14, guiding them through coding concepts while fostering problem-solving skills. This role requires experience working with children, teaching or mentoring skills, and an eagerness to learn coding basics. You must enjoy a fast-paced, fun environment. Flexible hours are available, and compensation is $15.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must have experience working with children aged 5 and up.
• Prior teaching, mentoring, or child care experience is preferred.
• Must be collaborative and work well with others.
• Eager to learn about basic coding concepts.

Responsibilities

• Train and learn the provided curriculum.
• Create a positive and safe learning environment.
• Work with children to identify their skill sets.
• Provide feedback to parents after student tours.
• Follow daily opening/closing duties.
• Maintain cleanliness in the dojo to corporate standards.
• Report weekly to the Center Assistant Manager.
• Communicate daily with the Center Manager about activities.

Code Ninjas is the nation’s fastest‑growing kids coding franchise. In our center, kids ages 5‑14 learn to code in a fun, non‑intimidating way – by playing and building video games they love. Kids have a blast and can’t wait to come back. Parents are thrilled as their children gain confidence and new skills including coding, math, logic, and problem‑solving, as they progress from white to black belt. What are we looking for?

We are looking for a Code Ninjas Sensei to join our team of dynamic, energetic, forward‑thinking minds, working toward our common goal: providing a fun and safe learning environment for children. The Sensei is the lifeblood of our Code Ninjas center. This individual oversees the day‑to‑day coaching and student engagement. Are you experienced in working with children? Do you enjoy teaching and building problem‑solving skills in young engineering minds? Have you mentored youth? This could be the role for you.

Responsibilities

• Training – go through the curriculum and learn it
• Create a positive and safe environment in which students can grow
• Work with children to determine skill sets
• Provide feedback to parents after working with a student who is on a tour
• Follow opening/closing duties daily
• Clean dojo throughout the day to ensure cleanliness is kept up to corporate standards
• Report weekly to Center Assistant Manager on progress
• Report daily to Center Manager with respect to day’s activities and productivity in dojo

Qualifications

• Working history with children ages 5 and up (mentoring, coaching, tutoring, etc.)
• Experience in teaching, mentoring or child care
• Works well with others; collaborates
• Familiar with or eager to learn basic coding concepts. Experience with Minecraft, Roblox, robotics, or 3D printing is a plus!
• Must be fun to work with and like working in fast‑paced environments where requirements can change frequently

Mon‑Fri 4pm‑7pm (flexible schedule) and Saturday 10am‑1pm

Compensation: $15.00 per hour
