Job summary

The City of Stockbridge seeks experienced Code Enforcement Officers to enforce city ordinances related to zoning, nuisance properties, blight, health and safety, and other regulations to preserve the community's safety and appearance. You will conduct field investigations, issue notices, collect evidence for actions in court, maintain case files, and coordinate with residents and other agencies.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or associate degree, a Georgia driver’s license, and must

Qualifications

• Two years of public contact in enforcement, inspection, or related field.
• Must obtain GA Level I Certification within 24 months of hire.
• Valid Georgia driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field investigations and inspect properties for violations and issue notices and related documentation.
• Maintain accurate case files and evidence for enforcement actions and court proceedings.
• Patrol assigned areas to identify violations and determine resolutions.
• Prepare evidence for legal actions and appear in court as required.
• Receive citizen complaints and coordinate with other agencies to resolve issues.
