The Code Enforcement Officer Part-Time performs journey-level code enforcement duties involving the investigation, documentation, monitoring, and enforcement of municipal codes and ordinances. Assignments may include proactive patrols, response to citizen complaints, and enforcement activities occurring during evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events. Incumbents have frequent contact with the public and may encounter irate or hostile individuals. This classification differs from the full-time Code Enforcement Officer in that incumbents work a reduced schedule and are assigned based on operational needs.
