Job summary

ECS Group of Companies in Austin, TX is seeking a Code Compliance Project Manager to lead a broad range of inspection and plan review projects while ensuring alignment with state and local building codes.

Ideal candidate has hands-on experience with building, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and/or fire protection systems, along with strong project management skills and relevant ICC certifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 5 years of code compliance inspection and/or plan review experience.
• At least one ICC certification required (B2, M2, P2, E2, Fire Inspector I or II); IECC certification preferred.
• Texas State Licensed Plumbing Inspector certification required.
• If driving for ECS, a valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform third party building, electrical, mechanical, architectural, structural, plumbing, and fire safety inspections.
• Prepare and submit daily time and inspection/field reports per ECS policy.
• Demonstrate extensive knowledge of state and local building code regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Manage code compliance projects: review plans, provide technical support, conduct inspections, monitor process and budget, prepare proposals, attend site meetings, resolve issues.
