Job summary

The City of Savannah is seeking a Paralegal for the Code Compliance Department to support attorneys with legal research, drafting, and case management.

Responsibilities include drafting and enforcing department policies, coordinating with other city departments and outside agencies, preparing litigation documents, maintaining case files, and ensuring timely filings. A Bachelor's degree in Paralegal studies with four years of legal admin experience and a valid GA driver’s license are required.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with planning, drafting, disseminating and enforcing new department administrative policies and procedures.
  • Coordinates special projects with other city departments or outside agencies, as assigned.
  • Opens and maintains case files; prepares and files all litigation documents; maintains litigation calendars and coordinates filings.
  • Reviews contracts and ensures proper certifications and signatures are obtained.
  • Engages in preparation and assembly of administrative and litigation reports and related documents.
