Qualifikationen

• Code Enforcement Officer license through TDLR or obtain within 120 days of employment.
• Preferred: 1 year of experience in code enforcement, inspections, investigations, planning, or related regulatory field.

Aufgaben

• Investigates complaints by meeting with citizens, City departments, and businesses regarding vacant homes and lots; addresses violations related to weeds, junk vehicles, trash, MS4, storm water, sign ordinance, and tree preservation.
• Enforces ordinances for substandard structures, housing standards, environmental health, vehicle/junk vehicle, vegetation abatement, and zoning.
• Documents actions and evidence from initial investigations and follow-up inspections; creates notice letters, emails, and scans documents to cases.
• Issues notices of violation to property owners for nuisance violations; prepares case files for administrative proceedings.
• Posts property for abatement, prepares quotes and work orders, and documents lien information.
• Performs related work as required.
