Job description

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Creates and ensures a fun-filled, entertaining, and exciting environment where the flawless delivery and execution of service excellence is paramount.
• Displays a courteous and helpful attitude at all times when dealing with the public and builds rewarding relationships.
• Greets guests in a fast, efficient, and friendly manner upon arrival to the outlet.
• Circulates throughout the assigned area, actively observing guests, providing assistance, and delivering service as necessary.
• Maintains and secures all cash and cash equivalents in possession, providing accurate reporting and financial transactions through the POS systems.
• Prepares all settlement paperwork in a consistent and organized manner.
• Completes all side work and cleans the outlet efficiently, accurately, and in a timely manner.
• Manages inventory and restocks items as needed based on pre-determined levels.
• Ensures that the work area is clean and sanitary in accordance with local, state, and federal health department codes.
• Monitors alcohol consumption by guests, adhering strictly to Delaware Park policies and Delaware state law.
• Promotes company marketing and promotional events and is proficient in answering guest questions.
• Communicates effectively (both written and verbal) to promote positive team member and guest relations.
• Maintains professionalism at all times when working with team members and guests.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous wait staff experience preferred.
• Must successfully complete the background check and licensing process required by the Delaware Lottery.
• Must possess an ABC Servers card and/or Tips equivalent.
• Knowledge of Point Of Sale operating systems preferred.
• Acts with discretion and maintains confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
• Must be able to wear and appear comfortable in the assigned uniform provided by Delaware Park.
• Must be able to walk and stand for at least a full eight (8)-hour shift.
• Capable of lifting up to 25 lbs., and able to bend, reach, pull, push, kneel, squat, and grasp as needed.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Work in zone assignments covering large areas with long walking distances, in environments with high volumes, diverse clientele, noise, music, and varying climate conditions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively with guests, co-workers, and management.
• Handle all guest-related situations professionally; relay all compliments and complaints to department management.
