Essential Job Functions:
- Exhibits proper knowledge, selling techniques, and service delivery of both non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages.
- Adheres to established company and departmental procedures, guidelines, and policies at all times, including guest service, cash handling, sanitation, and organization.
- Communicates positively with co-workers and guests, maintaining professionalism while working with other team members, departments, and guests.
- Maintains a clean station at all times and performs assigned side work duties such as stocking coffee, glasses, cream, sugar, beverage napkins, etc.
- Collects drink orders from the bartender, adds appropriate garnishes, places on a tray, and serves to patrons with cocktail napkins.
- Inspects guest identification to ensure guests meet the legal age limit for alcohol possession/consumption.
- Monitors guest alcohol consumption and acts according to established alcohol awareness program guidelines.
- Picks up empty glasses and returns them to the proper area.
- Cleans and replaces dirty ashtrays.
- Assists all guests regardless of where they are seated.
- Handles guest complaints or problems promptly and courteously.
- Maintains awareness of safety and accident prevention, performing all duties safely and notifying supervisors of any accidents.
- Works effectively with bar personnel, complying with alcohol laws and procedures.
- Ensures thorough communication between shifts.
- Stays updated on departmental policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Maintain uniform, appearance, and hygiene standards.
- Prior experience helpful but not required.
- Knowledge of POS systems.
- Availability for flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to obtain and maintain necessary licenses.
Physical and Mental Demands:
- Must see, stand, walk, handle, reach, and communicate effectively during an 8-hour shift.
- Occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- Must lift and serve from trays weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to count and interact positively in noisy, fast-paced environments.
