Job summary

Northfield Park Racino is seeking a Cocktail Server to take and deliver customer orders, ensure guest satisfaction, and finalize checks. You will serve cocktails, maintain menu knowledge, and assist with opening/closing duties while keeping work areas stocked and clean.

The role requires flexible shifts, a strong focus on guest service, and the ability to respond to inquiries about services and local attractions. Prior resort or hotel experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
• High School Diploma or GED - Preferred
• 6+ Months of Prior Relevant Experience as a cocktail and/or food server in a similar environment - Preferred
• Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays - Required
• Experience working in a similar resort setting - Preferred

Responsibilities

• Take orders and serve food and drinks efficiently and accurately.
• Place orders, garnish and serve cocktails to guests.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections.
• Respond to guest inquiries about hotel services, local attractions and activities.
• Perform opening and closing duties, restock supplies, and ensure cleanliness of the station.
• Resolve guest complaints within authority; escalate to management or Security as needed.

It is the responsibility of the Cocktail Server to take and deliver customer orders, guest satisfaction and finalize checks.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Take order(s), and serve food and drinks efficiently and accurately in work area as applicable.


• Place order(s), and garnish and serve cocktails to guests.


• Maintain complete knowledge of menu items, liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections available.


• Knowledge of hotel services, features, local attractions and activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.


• Perform opening and closing duties based upon shift assignment to include fold/stack cocktail napkins, stock swizzle sticks, straws, matches, line cocktail trays, stock glassware, restock supply cabinet, inspect cleanliness and condition of assigned station and service areas; rectify any deficiencies.


• Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise, refer the matter to management, notify supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft.
