Job summary

Pendry at Montage International in Newport Beach is seeking a Cocktail Server to create authentic, personalized guest experiences. You will engage guests, guide them through cocktails with expert knowledge, and collaborate across the team to maintain a welcoming, high-service lounge environment.

Ideal candidates have 1 year of food and beverage experience, familiarity with Micros POS, and a passion for luxury hotel hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Engage with guests, listen to their wants, and make cocktail recommendations based on their desires.
• Guide guests through the menu with expert knowledge and skilled upselling techniques.
• Consistently follow the food & beverage sequence of service with attention to detail.
• Collaborate with bartenders and fellow associates in a positive and respectful manner.
• Maintain the lounge area and table cleanliness to ensure a comfortable, hygienic environment for guests.
• Adhere to state liquor service regulations.
• Deliver on guests' expectations and create WOW moments.
• Perform additional duties as assigned based on business needs.

Your Journey

• Maintain a keen eye on the lounge area and table maintenance to promptly address any spills, debris, or other cleanliness issues, ensuring a comfortable and hygienic environment for guests
• Adhere to state liquor service regulations
• Deliver on guests' expectations and have the desire to create WOW moments
• Perform additional duties as assigned that may be outside of the normal scope of duties, based on business needs

Must Haves

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Ability to collaborate in a team environment
• One year minimum of experience in food and beverage operations
• Prior micros or other systems experience
• Luxury hotel experience, a plus

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and exercise mobility for extended periods of time during your scheduled shift
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and for extended periods during the shift
• Ability to push and pull food serving equipment and carts weighing up to 200 pounds on a semi - regular basis

The pay scale for Cocktail Server, Bar Pendry (Part-time) is $16.90 per hour.

The pay scale is the base salary or hourly wage range, exclusive of incentive pay such as commissions, piece rates, gratuities, and the like, that Montage reasonably expects to pay for the position.
