Job summary

Pendry San Diego is hiring servers to ensure guests enjoy a professional and memorable dining experience. You will assist guests with menu selections, provide insightful recommendations, take orders accurately, and uphold luxury service standards across all service steps.

Qualifications

• 1 year minimum of experience in food and beverage operations.
• Luxury hotel experience is a plus.
• Prior MICROS or other POS systems experience is a plus.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist guests with menu selections, provide recommendations and answer questions about ingredients, preparation methods and dietary restrictions.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, recording any special requests for the kitchen.
• Promote menu items, specials, and promotions to guests using suggestive selling techniques.
• Check in with guests during service to ensure satisfaction and address concerns promptly.
• Deliver on guests’ expectations and create WOW moments throughout the dining experience.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support team and operations.
