• 2+ years of server experience in upscale or fine-dining environments.
• Experience as a cocktail server or bartender in a high-end setting preferred.
• Willingness to complete product and knowledge quizzes.
• Positive attitude and ownership of the role.
• Desire to learn and grow within the restaurant.
• Knowledge of wine, beer, and craft cocktails.
• Strong communication and punctuality.

About The Opportunity

A Cocktail Server at Drake's is responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage service to guests. The Cocktail Server is expected to perform in a hospitable, efficient manner and play an integral role in ensuring our guests have an outstanding dining experience. At all times, Cocktail Servers are expected to be attentive and anticipatory to guests' needs. Our goal is to make everyone feel welcome, comfortable, important, and relaxed while exceeding the expectations of all.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high level of hospitality and professionalism with each team member and guest
• Develop and retain a complete knowledge of all food, beverage, and dietary restrictions to answer guest questions
• Ensure all steps of service are followed
• Execute opening and closing procedures associated with assigned station
• Work seamlessly and communicate with all team members
• Assistant to assure guests have a valuable overall experience
• Handle disputes and/or complaints with the utmost respect, professionalism and hospitality and go above and beyond to always accommodate special request
• Attend Food, Wine and Team training opportunities
• Memorize and promote menu items, including daily specials
• Upsell cocktails, wines, and food items
• Ensure that all beverages are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and service areas
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies

Requirements

• 2+ years of server experience in an upscale or fine-dining high-volume establishment
• Previous experience as a cocktail server or bartender in a high-end environment is preferred
• Will be required to complete and pass quizzes on product/job knowledge
• Positive attitude, a sense of responsibility, and ownership of the position
• Appetite for creating memorable moments of hospitality for our guests
• Desire to learn and grow within the position and restaurant
• Knowledge and passion for wine, beer, and craft cocktails
• Understanding of classic food, wine service, pairings, and service ware
• Detail-oriented with strong communication skills
• Team-oriented with a strong sense of punctuality and reliability
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol
