Job summary

The University of Iowa seeks a Research Assistant to join an interdisciplinary cochlear implant electrophysiology project in the Otolaryngology department. You will recruit participants, conduct assessments, score and manage data, and support regulatory tasks within a team of clinicians and researchers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent command of English (written and verbal).
  • Attention to detail, accuracy and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to learn new technical skills quickly with word processing/spreadsheet tools.
  • Ability to perform and score standardized clinical assessments of hearing.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit and schedule participants for studies.
  • Conduct electrophysiological and hearing assessments with participants.
  • Score, enter and manage data; maintain accurate research records.
  • Oversee regulatory paperwork and study compliance.
  • Prepare data reports and discuss results with investigators.
  • Assist in literature reviews and manuscript preparation.
