Job summary

Pennant, Inc. in Sabina, OH is seeking a maintenance supervisor to oversee cobot-equipped production lines and ensure smooth operation on a daily basis.

You will supervise Cobots, coordinate with engineering for optimization, and ensure safety, quality, and timely maintenance while supporting continuous production.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in robotics/mechatronics, or related technical field.
• Two years of related manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read drawings and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage Cobots daily to improve line uptime.
• Evaluate efficiency and reliability of cobot systems with engineering for optimization.
• Restart Cobots from inventory and manage short cycle stops.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as scheduled.
• Troubleshoot and repair Cobots and equipment to keep production moving.
• Collaborate with engineers and quality teams to meet customer standards.
• Assist in installation, programming, troubleshooting, and repair of automated equipment.
• Inspect products to ensure compliance with specifications.

Summary

Tends one or more machine tools, special-purpose machines, or industrial COBOT to machine metal workpieces to specifications on a production basis by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage COBOTs daily to improve line uptime.
• Evaluate the efficiency and reliability of industrial Cobot systems, and work with engineering for reprogramming or calibrating to achieve maximum quantity and quality.
• Restart Cobots as needed from full inventory conditions and short cycle stops.
• Perform routine PMs on all equipment as scheduled.
• Trouble shoot and repair Cobots and other equipment to keep the production line moving.
• Work with engineers and quality associates to ensure the end product meets customer standards.
• Work with engineering to install, program, troubleshoot, and repair automated Cobots and other automated equipment.
• Inspect the product to ensure all quality specifications are met.
• Make sure all safety procedures, regulations, and all company policies are followed by state and federal law.
• Assist in implementing Zira work system tablets with engineering to ensure all production metrics are accurately recorded.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school certification in Robotics. Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, Electrical/Mechanical Technology preferred; or 2 years related manufacturing experience. Mechanical aptitude

• Basic Cobot knowledge
• Ability to read drawings
• Basic math and computer skills
• Roll mill working knowledge a plus

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
